A first round of Taiwan-U.S. trade talks focused on Donald Trump's tariff policies has concluded in Washington, the government says.

00:12but he later put a 90-day pause on all new tariffs except those aimed at China.

00:17Deputy Premier Zhen Lijun and trade negotiator Yang Zhenni have been in the U.S. to start working out a tariff deal.
