Immigration Department Director-General Datuk Zakaria Shahban said the women were among

43 individuals detained during the operation, which identified potential victims using the

National Guideline on Human Trafficking Indicators.

Investigations revealed that the 10 victims had been forced to provide sexual services

without pay.

Their movements were restricted and their passports were confiscated by their handlers.

Zakaria said the rescued women have been placed in a safe house while further investigations

are underway.

In total, 37 Vietnamese and 6 Indonesian women aged between 18 and 40 were detained during

the raid.

Eleven men from Indonesia and Bangladesh, believed to be working as cleaning staff,

were also arrested.

Additionally, seven local men, believed to be caretakers and owners of the premises, were

taken into custody.

These also seized more than 128,000 ringgit in cash during the raid.
