00:00We saw this dumb thing the other day

00:03about where the commander's wide receivers rank.

00:08Am I crazy?

00:09I think they've improved dramatically at the position.

00:12You're not crazy.

00:13You're right.

00:16Debo Samuel, for all the talk of he might have had a down season last year,

00:21he would have been their second leading wide receiver.

00:25And when you look at total yards, he went for 8.06 from scrimmage.

00:31And he's two years removed from 1,100 from scrimmage.

00:33I just think when you look at how well he was that two years ago,

00:37people compare everything to that.

00:39He was so good that year to where he can probably have a good year

00:43and people still say it's down.

00:45Yeah, from the 21 season.

00:47You bring back Noah Brown.

00:49You bring back K.J. Osborne, which is kind of interesting,

00:52of all the guys they let walk, and O.Z., and Diami,

00:56and you bring back Osborne.

00:59You add Debo, and I think you add Michael Gallup.

01:03I think the Gallup thing will be fascinating.

01:05If he still has a high gear there, he can help you.

01:08I don't know that he does.

01:10He's only 29.

01:12You draft Lane, who definitely has a high gear.

01:15And one dude I think people are collectively sleeping on

01:20is Luke McCaffrey.

01:22I think last year expectations might have been too high

01:25for a third-round wideout.

01:28But going into year two, a guy that has all.

01:31After you've got a third-round wideout that's a top-notch dude

01:36around the league, you start expecting it.

01:39That's true.

01:40Maybe Terry.

01:41Terry's been like that since he walked through the door.

01:43So, you can take or leave the advanced analytics on this,

01:51but the advanced analytics suggest that Luke was really good

01:55at getting separation.

01:56So, then it becomes a matter of getting on the same page with Jaden.

01:59Luke's also still kind of learning the wide receiver position.

02:03True.

02:03But I think he could have a much larger role.

02:07I would think he will because, listen,

02:10very similar to me coming here with Coach Gibbs,

02:13that first year, if they really see something in you,

02:16they allow you a chance to learn.

02:19The next year, you have to compete now.

02:22And I believe that he should be.

02:25Because you watch him through the year.

02:27Early on, he seemed a little uneasy.

02:30Later, as the season went on,

02:31he began to look a lot more comfortable.

02:34He did get open a lot.

02:35But some of the times, the ball is already gone.

02:38Or, he wasn't in the read, but he still was getting open.

02:43So, this year, maybe, just maybe,

02:45things start to cook for him.

02:47I mean, I think it'd be great.

02:49It would certainly help the offense.

02:51He's such a hard-working, good dude

02:56that I think it could certainly work.

02:59I just, it seems like people have now decided

03:05because his rookie season was not a breakout

03:09that he can't play.

03:10And I would just, I would issue caution for that.

03:12But see, the whole thing about it, Jay,

03:14I just think that that's what fans do.

03:18They either go too far ahead

03:19or too far over the other direction.

03:22You can't be affected by that.

03:24You talk to the people that make the decisions every day.

03:27Do they still have an interest in it?

03:29Do they still believe he can play?

03:31All that matters.
