00:00Hi guys and welcome to DriveSpark, I'm Promeet and in today's video we are going to tell you
00:05what are the cars that you can expect to launch in the month of May 2025.
00:11Now the automotive scene is set to witness an exciting development in the month of May
00:16this year as four major car manufacturers such as Tata, Kia, MG and Volkswagen are preparing
00:22to launch four new models. So let's start off with the Volkswagen Golf GTI. Now for the Volkswagen
00:29Golf GTI is one of the most anticipated launches in the month of May that is going to happen by the
00:34end of May and Volkswagen is going to currently import around 250 units of the Golf GTI as a
00:41CBO unit in the Indian market and if we talk about a little bit of performance this hatchback is
00:47actually this is a hot hatch which is powered by a 2 litre tower petrol engine that's submitted to
00:53a 7 speed DCT gearbox that's a dual clutch transmission gearbox and it produces
00:58around 265 bhp of power 370 nm of peak torque if you talk about 0 to 100 timings is under 6 seconds
01:06and this can reach speeds up to 250 kilometers per hour. Now on the inside of the Golf GTI you will find
01:14the tartan seat upholstery that gives it that vintage kind of a look looks really smart and it
01:20also gets red accents around the steering wheel red contrast stitching GTI badging a full digital
01:25instrument cluster that's basically a virtual cockpit and a big touchscreen infotainment system
01:30that is obviously running Volkswagen's latest software interface that includes chat GPT enabled
01:37voice assist capabilities. Now the next is from Kia which is the updated Karans. Now obviously Kia will
01:44be launching the updated Karans very soon in the Indian market this month but they have recently shared
01:51that they will be calling the updated facelifted version the Clavis. Now obviously the new name
01:56that means it will get a lot more features such as level 2 A-RAS, a 360 degree camera, full digital
02:03instrument cluster, you get a large touchscreen infotainment system and a big panoramic sunroof.
02:08So this is what you can expect from the all new upcoming model from Kia which is obviously the facelift
02:15version of the Karans but will be called the Clavis. Now number three is the MG Windsor EV. Now the MG
02:23Windsor EV has been a very successful product in the Indian market but one thing that it really lacked
02:29is range. Now what MG is doing is that MG is now coming up with the MG Windsor EV Pro. Now basically it
02:38is a long range version of the regular Windsor so it will carry a 50.6 kilowatt hour battery pack
02:44and the total range now claimed is around 460 kilometers on a single charge. Now a little bit
02:51of features it gets an electric motor, a single electric motor that drives the front wheels and
02:56it produces around 136 bhp and 200 nm of peak torque and also it gets way advanced driver assistant
03:03features as well. Now last but not least we have the Tata Altros facelift. Now the Tata is also
03:11expecting to launch the Altros somewhere around the end of this month to be around precise around
03:1621st May and spy picture suggests that the exterior might be slightly different with a new kind of a
03:23bumper and LED elements in the tail lamp and indicators. On the inside you might get a 10.25 inch
03:30touchscreen infotainment system, new upholstery and new door trims. However the engine options remain
03:36unchanged with the choice of an 88 bhp petrol engine and two diesel engines producing 90 and 120 bhp
03:44respectively. So yeah this is what you can expect from the month of May that is the Tata Altros
03:49facelift, the updated MG Windsor EV which is now called the MG Windsor Pro that's the long range version
03:56of the Windsor. Then you have the 2025 Kia Karen's facelift which is called the Kia Clavis
04:02and then you also have the Volkswagen Golf GTI. So if you like this news please give it a thumbs up,
