00:24from the gst reform now indian automobile sector may see a major shift as the government plans to

00:29sweep gst reforms at present cars attract almost 28 gst that's a very high slab and a compensation

00:36sets of 1 to 22 depending on the engine size and the length of the vehicle now this pushes the

00:42effective tax on vehicles to around 29 for small petrol cars and nearly 50 for big suvs making

00:50them expensive for the buyers now electric vehicles are taxed much lower and is just at 5 now as for

00:56a pti report the center is considering a new two-tier gst system with slabs of 5 and 18

01:03percent while a 40 rate will be applied to only selected luxury goods now if this is approved the

01:08automobiles would shift to an 18 bracket replacing the current 28 bracket and that said below listed

01:21the maruti suzuki alto k10 now the prices for the new alto k10 starts at rupees 4 lakh 23 000 x showroom

01:28while with the updated gst the base variant of this car could cause just rupees 3.87 lakh which is

01:35approximately 36 000 less than the current pricing number two we have the maruti suzuki espresso now the

01:41maruti suzuki espresso is a more stylish option compared to the alto k10 and the prices for this model

01:46currently starts at rupees 4 lakh 27 000 x showroom under the new gst rule this model could just cost

01:53you rupees 3.90 lakh x showroom number three we have the reno quid with the gst reform the reno quid

02:00could be priced closer to the ongoing maruti suzuki espresso with an approximate price tag of just rupees

02:064.3 lakh x showroom now this is 40 000 rupees less than the current x showroom price of the model

02:12number four we have the maruti suzuki celerio now the celerio is a much more desirable model than the

02:17above list models and has a lot of features however it costs rupees 5.36 lakh x showroom now this model

02:24could be out of the budget for many new car buyers so under the new gst reform the celerio could become

02:30as cheap as rupees 4.90 lakh number five we have the tata tiago now the tata tiago carries a starting

02:37price of rupees 5.65 lakh the safest entry level hatchback in india it is not affordable for all

02:43buyers however under the new gst prices for this tiago could go as low as 5.15 lakh x showroom which

02:51is rupees 50 000 less compared to the current pricing so yeah guys these were the top five most
