00:00i like watching back me and my husband banner our banner in the kitchen and him and his little smart

00:06remarks and you don't get to see my rebuttal but it's like it's like it's just iron sharpening

00:13iron we had so much fun and he gets the biggest kick out of watching himself because i'm like

00:19you crazy in real life like the world now knows that the secret is out so i think our family

00:26dynamic is what i you know i like to watch back most you can't even make five out of ten how much

00:31you want to bet i saw your average who's the nba 60 percent you're the wrong guy that's the other guy

00:42well hi angela um i want to start off by saying you know welcome to the real housewives family

00:48so i want to first ask you what has this journey been like for you stepping into such an iconic

00:54franchise like atlanta housewives well first of all i'm honored to be a part of the atlanta housewives

01:01of course we all grew up watching the housewives and uh for me to be a part of such an iconic franchise

01:08is an honor and um i will say this i commend all the women who came before me because baby

01:15it is not for the faint of heart and uh i am here and yeah it's a lot it's a lot of work to be here

01:28and so you know there's always buzz around being a new housewife so how would you say you prepared

01:34mentally or emotionally for having your life in front of the camera especially you know knowing how you

01:40know in the past like you mentioned all the women before you how passionate like the cast members

01:47can be but also how the fans are too well i just knew i was gonna if i was gonna commit to this we

01:53were gonna be authentic yeah everything skeletons everything come on out because i feel like when

02:00you're inauthentic it shows and i just knew i was gonna give my all my truth and that's that's how i

02:09prepared i was just like you know what flaws and all here we go we're about to do this yeah and you

02:14know what i absolutely love that because you are showing everything and i think fans kind of need to

02:20see that not necessarily any fabricated storylines the good the bad the ugly i love to see it you know

02:27i think that's great and you know you're in control of your narrative when you're putting it all out

02:32there yourself no you're not because right it's still too early in my narrative and the fans are

02:39already telling my story i'm like wait take your time it's more to it like don't just run with this

02:46it's more to it than this so what would you say surprised you most about being a part of this cast so far

02:53um i think what surprised me first of all the ladies are amazing i'm happy to be such a you know a

03:00reboot i think the ladies are great i'm happy to be partnered with such great ladies i think what

03:07surprised me is just how intense you know it could get and how different personalities could gel

03:14or sometimes they just don't gel and uh you know the healing process is quicker than i normally heal

03:23you know so you know you can't stay mad and sometimes i want to stay mad so it's a bit

03:30therapeutic for me because i'm like you know i and angela let it go move forward so just the ability

03:36to move on quickly that's surprising yeah no i definitely think that that's a learning curve just

03:42in general how late how elastic the ladies can be and just like forgiving each other moving forward but i

03:48think that's how you know the show kind of rolls um but i want to go into your personal life a little

03:55bit so we were all excited to learn that you were married to charles oakley so what did he say when you

04:02first told him that you were going to join the show and how do you feel like he supported you throughout

04:07the season first of all well there have been times in the past so you know i kind of tease the idea of

04:13reality tv to him and he was like hell no i would never do it stop asking you know i don't want to

04:22you know be a part of it but i feel like the timing is right and i knew it was right you know within

04:28myself and how i wanted to tell my story and everything i had going on individually but the

04:33fact that he was willing you know further echo the sentiment like okay we're ready my husband is like

04:39you know what trump is in office the world is a reality show uh let's go yeah i i've love what

04:49we've seen thus far about you know your real estate journey and you've carved out such a strong lane for

04:55that so what was your breakthrough moment in in that world in real estate so you know what i am an

05:04i was a novice entering the real estate world i had i flipped one house maybe 10 years ago and so

05:12i just jumped in head first and when i say jumped in it's like i put all of my resources everything i

05:20had into creating this real estate empire if you will yeah and baby life had a way of teaching me that

05:29no you need to take baby steps and so my real estate story is one of those that i mean i guess

05:38i'm trying to express how we can kind of think we can take over the world and we kind of block out

05:46all of the logic all of the reasoning and we just go for it and life has a way of just you know yeah

05:53so getting you you know i don't want to say whooping you but i did get my life was like you gonna listen

06:03next time and here i am i'm i'm i'm astute i'm i'm aware i i want people to tell me what not to do now

06:11i just feel like i got a lot of growing pains throughout my real estate uh so far yeah and you

06:18know i think that there's something really powerful about watching a woman who is balancing

06:23business family and being on television all at the same time so how have you managed to stay focused

06:31on you know your personal goals but you know the cameras are rolling at the same time yeah it's called

06:36therapy yeah therapy i don't even have and the willingness to try to you know prioritize certain

06:45things and you know my business but first and foremost god my family my business then the show

06:53so in that order i was able to navigate through it but to say it wasn't stressful i will be alive

07:01because it's stressful and we as women carry so much and we make it look so easy and it's not and

07:09i think throughout this process it allowed me to just ask for help because that was something i

07:14pride of myself on not doing like oh i can i can do it all and life had a way through this show of

07:21showing me like no you need help girl go get some help and so just to shift gears a little bit i want

07:27to talk about you know the friendship dynamics amongst the group of ladies so we've seen different bonds

07:33form among everybody so which friendships have surprised you the most and who do you feel closest to at this

07:41point i created a bond of sorts with most of the ladies with you know all of them all of the ladies

07:50uh good bad and different i will say that i came in closest to drew sudora and i finished closest to

07:58drew sudora so okay okay how would you say the nashville trip shifted the vibe amongst the group i think the

08:06nashville trip is the time where all of the girls are in you know we're all together and they realize oh

08:16we need to leave angela the hell alone because she is not to be played with and i was happy i could let

08:25them all know it at one place at one time uh you know but uh i think that's nashville's when everybody

08:33figures out like oh she's quiet but leave her alone don't put this girl absolutely what has been your

08:40favorite moment to kind of relive so far whether it was fun emotional or just unexpected unexpected excuse

09:08because i'm like you crazy in real life like the world now knows that the secret is out so i think our

09:15family dynamic is what i you know i like to watch back most and so obviously we know the salon episode

09:23stirred a lot of conversation but um i kind of want to just talk about how have you kind of been like

09:28taking care of yourself in the aftermath of that you know what the salon um incident was was bad

09:37right it was it was bad for everybody involved yeah and not to keep kicking you know

09:45a dead horse but i i think i expressed how i felt after the episode in my confessional where i was

09:53just like you know what i have empathy for brit i sympathize with brit and then also at the the peace

10:01brunch i still thought that brit should hold herself accountable for how we even got here yeah uh and that

10:08was missing so i was torn because i like both the ladies i like kenya i like brit both of them were

10:15wrong and i wanted to hold both of them accountable and uh i just felt like it was unfair for me to have to

10:25you know not be able to do that for me to have to just say no i'm over here and screw you

10:30screw that i like you too i just you know yeah i didn't feel that was fair and so without giving

10:39too much away what can you say fans can expect to see from you as the season continues just more of

10:48just standing in my truth yeah and just be who i am genuine just someone who likes to set the record

10:56straight and if you keep poking i'll respond so at the top of our conversation you know we were

11:05talking about like um standing in your truth and being able to control your narrative even though you

11:10said your narrative hasn't fully played out on screen yet um what is something that you want the

11:16fans to know about you that we may not be able to see on screen that i'm as authentic as

11:23i i'm very authentic uh my daughter and i are we do have a super close relationship

11:30um and me and my husband we like each other maybe in that month on that episode

11:41at that time we probably didn't but overall you know five days out the week we get along

11:47we like absolutely and you know what like i know like because we're in a bit of a season of a

11:53reboot right um there's been a lot of commentary for a lot of the new ladies good bad and different

11:59but i want to know have you heard um at least on your end about you potentially being the new supreme

12:07of real housewives of atlanta i love who you are and what you bring to the show and i just want to

12:13sprinkle a little positivity i think so far it's been great thank you but i just hope they're not

12:18attributed in that to the fact that they thought i was 60 years old like no no no just just your

12:26character your personality what you brought to the show i think like you said you're you're showing up

12:32very authentically and i think that that's really good and it gives fans something to kind of cling
