00:00This is Jazz Monet bringing you the highlights from Sunday's UFL game between the Arlington
00:10Renegades and the DC Defenders right here at Choctaw Stadium. This game was a battle for the
00:15number one spot in the XFL conference going into this last part of the UFL season. It was one the
00:20Renegades definitely wanted to win. Now if you were to look at the stat sheet, you would have
00:24thought that DC dominated the first half. They had more plays, more time of possession, more yards,
00:29more passing yards, everything they needed, but the Renegades defense kept them from capitalizing
00:34on the scoreboard. Going into the locker rooms at halftime, the Renegades were up 27 to 15.
00:39You got to give their coaching staff and players credit for making plays and hanging in there to
00:46give theirself a chance to come back and they did. And yeah, we needed, you know, obviously another
00:53score or move the football to eat up time and they did a good job. Luis Perez had one
00:59more opportunity to drive down the field and try to retake the lead before the game was over,
01:04but the ball sailed into the wrong hands and it was game over for Arlington with the final score of
01:08Defenders 37, Renegades 33. It's all self-inflicted stuff. I mean, it happens every week. We just got
01:14to do a better job of, you know, trying to negative, trying to eliminate those negative plays. Um, and you
01:20know, everything else will play out itself. So credit to another good football team and you know, tough loss.
