00:00Do you think, Scott Miller with us, that the Mets are the best team in baseball?
00:06They've won seven in a row.
00:08They've been dominant at Citi Field.
00:10Lindor's been insane.
00:13Pete Alonso's been raking.
00:15Soto's done, I guess, decent, nothing more.
00:19But they're kicking everyone's ass.
00:21And now they start a series in our nation's capital tonight.
00:25What do you think of the Mets?
00:26Are they the best team?
00:27Yeah, you know, they very well might be.
00:29I know I mentioned a minute ago the Cubs are one of the two or three best right now.
00:33And, you know, the Mets have it going.
00:37Everybody you just mentioned.
00:38And the thing that's kind of surprising to me, Scott, is the rotation.
00:44The Mets pitching has been really good.
00:47And it's not exactly, you know, a couple years ago, remember, they signed Max Scherzer, Justin Verlander.
00:52It ain't marquee names like that.
00:54I mean, Clay Holmes, the former Yankees closer.
00:57You know, David Stearns, that's why Steve Cohen hired him.
01:02David Stearns sees things.
01:04He did it in Milwaukee as president of baseball operations.
01:07And he's in his second year in New York.
01:10He's made some good moves.
01:11That rotation, he's put together Holmes, Tyler Miguel, you know, Griffin Canning, David Peterson.
01:18Those guys have pitched really, really well.
01:21And when you put it together with that lineup, especially like you said, Lindor's been great.
01:24You know, they've got the makings of something very special in Queens.
01:30And I think it can lie.
01:32So, lastly, respectfully, I got about 45 seconds.
01:36What do you think of what Judge and Goldschmidt are doing in the Bronx?
01:41Yeah, I mean, Judge, it's amazing.
01:44If there wasn't that kid named Shohei Otani, you know, Judge would be getting even more headlamps.
01:49Well, it's hard to imagine a guy in New York in the Bronx wearing Yankee pinstripes when you say,
01:55maybe he's not quite getting his due, but, you know, good.
01:58He's doing more than Otani these days.
02:01Absolutely, right.
02:02He is.
02:03And Otani's hit kind of a soft spot right now.
02:06He's not swinging that well.
02:08Goldschmidt, really happy to see him come back after subpar year in St. Louis.
02:12Goldschmidt is a solid player, a solid person.
02:15And he deserved better than how he played in St. Louis.
02:20It's nice to see him doing what he's doing.
