00:00I want to say this, like earlier in the show, I brought up the fact that the way the Yankees

00:09started in April, they won almost every game and the Mets lost almost every game in April.

00:14And then if you go from after that fact until today, I think the Mets have been the better

00:20story.

00:21I don't deny the judge and Soto angle.

00:24That's all they've had.

00:26But the Mets to me have been frankly more fun for the majority of the season of what

00:32they've accomplished after the failed start that they had.

00:36I get that.

00:37They've been way more gutty and they've been super resilient.

00:40Listen, not many teams overcome what, 10, 11 games under 500 to put themselves in playoff

00:47positioning.

00:48They've been able to do that.

00:50Now the Yankees, unfortunately their expectations are so high that winning a division, it's

00:57not going to satisfy me.

00:58It's not going to satisfy my buddy Carver.

01:00It's not going to satisfy any of the Yankee fans out there.

01:03Scotty, the only way the Yankee fan is going to be truly satisfied is if the end of October

01:08rolls around and at minimum they are representing the American league in the world series.

01:13I mean, I was a senior in college for goodness sakes, 2009 the last time the Yankees were

01:19in the world series.

01:20Forget about winning it in it.

01:22And I can throw and reference Detroit and Kansas city and Tampa and Arizona and Texas

01:27and all of these teams throughout baseball that have been in the world series more recently

01:33than the New York Yankees.

01:35So I think from that satisfaction standpoint, the Mets didn't have expectations at the beginning

01:40of the year.

01:41The Yankees do.

01:42The only way they pay them off and satisfy the fan base is winning October.
