00:00Today, Rupert sorts out some mixed-up messages in Rupert and the Professor's Problem.

01:06Rupert has just finished his arithmetic homework, which was very difficult.

01:30People like the inventor use them to make their work easier.

01:44In the lane, Rupert meets one of his friends, Edward Trunk, who has also finished his sums.

04:36Rupert tells the Wizard of the weather forecasts

04:38coming from the inventor's machine.

04:41But these aren't the answers the inventor wants.

04:45Rupert reads the paper from the Wizard's computer.

04:48Two hundred and forty horses in ten dozen boxes of toy soldiers.

04:55Well, that sounds like the toy factory.

04:59What am I going to do?

05:01The weather is going to go out of control.

05:03We'll go to Toyland and see what we can do.

05:07Perhaps Drizzle could take us there.

05:41Rupert sets down in the streets of Toy Town.

05:46We'd better go straight to the toy factory.

05:52Rupert leads Edward through the toy factory.

05:54He's most impressed with the conveyor belt.

05:57Except that it hasn't got any toys on it.

06:01Yes, as you can see, we're in trouble with our computer.

06:06All we get are pieces of metal 12 inches long.

06:12Rupert tells the factory manager about the wizards and the inventors' computers.

06:16So it looks as if the three computers are mixed up in some way.

06:20Well, I have a map of the whole computer system here.

06:23Let's have a look at it.

06:25Here, you see, is the central information bank.

06:28That's where all the computers get their answers from.

06:31It's in a place called, um, Nutwood.

06:35Why, we live there!

06:37Where's the day we?

06:40Look, Edward.

06:41It's in the woods near the river.

06:43It's funny we've never seen it.

06:45Well, no, you wouldn't.

06:47It's underground.

06:48So the entrance is all you'd see in the woods.

06:50We'll go there and see what's happening, won't we, Edward?

06:53Yes, I'd like to see a computer information centre.

06:57Is it like a library?

07:00No, it'll be all wires.

07:02Come on.

07:06Now, it's somewhere here, according to that map we saw.

07:13Look, Edward, what's this?

07:14Rupert sees a small lever with a notice attached.

07:20No admittance, except on business.

07:25As Edward pulls the lever, a section of the ground lifts back to reveal a flight of steps.

07:33Trumpety-trump, look at this.

07:37Now, perhaps we'll find what the trouble is.

07:41Rupert finds himself in a small underground room with a busy-looking computer and a jungle of wires.

07:48Oh, Rupert, we'll never sort this loft out.

07:54Look at all those wires.

07:56I don't know where to start.

07:58Look, this'll help.

08:00Some have labels.

08:02This one goes to the main post office, and this one to Shripton Coast Guards.

08:07They go down these tunnels.

08:10Oh, what a lot of cobwebs.

08:15Look, that tunnel, see?

08:19That must be Wizard of the Wind.

08:21Yes, and TF is the toy factory.

08:24So INV is the inventor.

08:27And they all go together down here.

08:33What are you and Edward doing in my root store?

08:36We're trying to find what's causing the inventor's computer to go wrong.

08:40These wires go to it.

08:47But Raggedy, how did you know that something was wrong with the computer?

08:52Raggedy seems to be a bit embarrassed.

08:54Well, actually, Rupert, I thought they were roots.

09:00So I started to eat them.

09:02But they were horrid and hurt my teeth.

09:05But I joined them all up again, so they must be all right.

09:13You might have joined them up again, but the colors don't match.

09:17You've joined the red to the green and the blue to the yellow.

09:20No wonder the inventor's getting the weather forecast.

09:27While Rupert joins the wires properly

09:31Raggedy dances with annoyance

09:33Well, the horrid old wires shouldn't come from my boot store

09:38And he runs away

09:39Back at home, while Rupert and Edward are having tea

09:44Mrs. Bear has some telegrams to read out
