01:33It's a chaotic scene here on Sanibel after a vacation turned into a nightmare for a family
01:38of French tourists.
01:39Neighbors say that the tourists were staying here behind me when they allegedly stabbed
01:44a naked home intruder before dealing with a structure fire.

01:47Wednesday night, police officers and firefighters responded to the structure fire just off Periwinkle
01:52in Buttonwood Lane.
01:53It's not the best vacation.
01:54The property is used as a vacation rental, and the property managers showed up as soon
01:58as they heard that there was a fire.
02:00So she pulls in and, you know, you see this naked guy, right?
02:04And he's just sitting there, and, you know, he's getting cleaned up.
02:09He's got wounds on his body, bleeding, and, you know, it's just a bad environment, right?
02:13Mentally, you're looking at that, and you're like, wow, that's crazy, right?

02:19The neighbors say that the naked, injured man was then taken away in an ambulance.
02:24And that they don't suspect that he was a tourist.
02:27The Sanibel Fire Department tells us that this is an active criminal investigation,
02:30and we are still waiting on a cause of that fire, and what led up to it.
