00:00Okay, I don't know what's more disturbing, that big lady getting waxed, or this.
00:09Probably this.
00:10Something, many things, had to be removed from inside a man's face.
00:17Many things?
00:18At a Jacksonville, Florida hospital.
00:20Maggots?
00:22Bugs.
00:23Bugs.
00:24Like something straight out of a horror movie.
00:26No.
00:26A man had 150 live bugs pulled out of the inside of his nose.
00:34What are they doing there, Dave?
00:36Living there, Chuck.
00:37But what kind of bugs live in your nose?
00:40Bad bugs, Chuck.
00:41Well, yeah, they're not good bugs.
00:44The story is nuts.
00:45Oh.
00:47And you can see it at DaveAndChuckTheFreak.com.
00:51Okay, yep, they give you the warning.
00:52They give you the graphic images coming up warning, and they need to.
00:56But the guy talks to the news about it here.
00:59Here's the story.
01:00Take a listen.
01:01Over a couple hours, my face just started swelling.
01:05So my lips swelled.
01:07I could hardly talk.
01:09My whole face felt like it was on fire.
01:11First Coast News is not identifying the man from this procedure.
01:14Just his crotch.
01:15But the patient said he began feeling off in October of 2023.
01:18Thirty years ago, he had neuroblastoma, which removed a cancerous tumor in his nose and left him with an extremely compromised immune system.
01:25Over the course of a few hours last week, his face became extremely swollen.
01:29I started getting nosebleeds, constant nosebleeds.
01:33I couldn't even get up to go to the bathroom without my nose starting to bleed.
01:38And that's when he went to HCA Florida Memorial Hospital.
01:42Probably too late.
01:42When I went for the examination, doctor goes, I see movement.
01:47Dr. David Carlson was the ENT on call that night.
01:50We took a little camera and we looked in the nose, and that's when things dramatically changed.
01:56Dozens of bugs.
01:57Oh my God.
01:58On the inside of the patient's nose and sinus cap.
02:02Side-wise, you know, there was variation, but some of the larger ones were probably as big as the end of my pinky.
02:09I knew he was in big trouble.
02:10There was erosion that was occurring up near what we call the skull base that was in very close proximity to his eye and his brain.
02:18Dr. Carlson immediately tried to remove the bugs.
02:21He initially attempted to try to remove these.
02:24Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God, that's a rough watch.
02:25But it ended up clogging up the suction area.
02:27That's a real rough watch.
02:28They were logging up and couldn't get him through the suction.
02:30So we ended up having to remove them one by one using different instrumentation.
02:34And it hurt, because they weren't coming willingly either.
02:38Oh my goodness.
02:40Out of the patient's nose and had been sent off to an epidemiologist to determine what type of bug they are.
02:46They were up right against his skull base, right underneath the brain.
02:50Had they gone through that, it could have killed him.
02:52Oh my goodness.
02:54There's nothing like it documented in the United States.
02:57And while Dr. Carlson doesn't want to cause widespread panic, he does caution people with compromised immune systems.
03:03Certainly if you're going to be around a dirty environment, those hands need to be washed.
03:06I know that I have to change my lifestyle as far as how I handle fish.
03:12Before I would rinse my hands in the river.
03:15You know now, I'll use a cleaner to just do a better job.
03:20What are they doing up there?
03:21I'm going to touch my nose with my hands.
03:23They're living, man.
03:24The patient was given an anti-parasitic and will be evaluated three to four times a year, but is expected to make a full recovery.
03:30How?
03:31Reporting in Jacksonville, Rich Donnelly.
03:33First Coast News.
03:34To me, that looks like someone who's about to die from that.
03:36Oh, God.
03:37I wish we were recording our uncut podcast right now so I could swear.
03:41Oh, I want to swear so bad.
03:43I want to swear so bad.
03:44Oh, so bad.
03:45I want to swear.
03:45I can't even remember the combination I came up with.
03:48I was like, geez, whoa, dude.
03:51Yeah, I was shocked by it.
03:54But I was like, exactly.
03:58Whoa, geez, dude, no.
03:59That is, like, honestly, people, there's no real way.
04:08It looked like a brown soup.
04:10Stop it.
04:11It did.
04:12It looked like a brown soup with, like, loose egg and then bugs.
04:19I'll never have soup again.
04:20It was full of larvae.
04:22Yeah.
04:23Yeah.
04:23That guy's like, I need to change my lifestyle.
04:25Yeah.
04:26You sure do.
04:26Yeah, you do, bud.
04:29So he's not a fly?
04:31A fly?
04:32He's having something to do with his fish, right?
04:33Yeah, he said he was handling fish.
04:36So he's probably.
04:37I didn't hear a lot of what he said.
04:39I have to be honest.
04:40I know.
04:41I didn't.
04:42I went to a different place for a bit.
04:44So I had to get out of here.
04:45He's prepping.
04:47Yeah.
04:47Your brain turned off.
04:49Never wanted to look at a man's crotch more.
04:52If you keep showing my crotch.
04:53Show his crotch.
04:54Show me the crotch shot again.
04:55Show me the crotch shot.
04:56I don't want to see it in his nose anymore.
04:57Oh, like to me, I don't know how you live after the inside of your sinus cavity looks
05:04like this man's.
05:05Yeah.
05:06Well, they said they were back up against his skull and his brain.
05:09Yeah.
05:10How do you not know something's going on?
05:12I don't know.
05:12I don't know.
05:13How do you not?
05:13Like, honestly, I have a long nose hair and I'm like, what the hell's going on in there?
05:18Yeah.
05:18Not 150 live bugs.
05:22If something was moving right now inside of your nose, like, you would have to assume
05:27you would feel it.
05:27Yeah, you would feel it.
05:28You know?
05:30So there's something out.
05:32Like, I think there's a lot more to this story than meets the eye, but...
05:35I mean, he does acknowledge he needs to be leaner.
05:38Yeah.
05:39At least he's got that.
05:40But also, that must mean that he was, like, making fish and getting stuff and then just
05:45ramming his fingers up there.
05:46Right up his nose, right?
05:47As deep as possible.
05:47Don't eat his fish.
05:48Yep.
05:49That's another one.
05:49Can I tell you?
05:50Those are not...
05:51Don't eat his fish.
05:53So they played this on the news?
05:55Yeah.
05:55At least.
05:55And there's a longer version.
05:57Eating dinner or whatever you have the news on in this.
06:00I mean, they did do the graphic warning.
06:01I can't turn it off.
06:02Boom, I can't.
06:03Does anyone listen to that, though?
06:04I'm going to throw up.
06:06Like, do people listen to that?
06:07No, because that just makes some people watch it more.
06:10Right.
06:10Like, you.
06:11Like, I'm fine.
06:11For me, I'm like, thanks for the heads up.
06:13Good night.
06:14But me, I'm sitting there eating...
06:15I could eat, like, a chicken dish that looks just like this guy's nose as this is playing,
06:20probably.
06:20You would be okay?
06:20I think I'd be okay.
06:21Really, I would not.
06:22I could barely watch.
06:23I don't know.
06:23I was eating breakfast, and I'm not okay.
06:25Sorry, Al.
06:27Yeah, no.
06:28I swear Dave saw me go in there and get my breakfast.
06:30No, I honestly saw it.
06:32I timed it perfectly.
06:33Oh, he's got his own real quick play.
06:34I think I might knock the TV down or something.
06:37Yeah, I would, for sure.
06:38I'd charge for, where's the remote?
06:39Turn it off!
06:40Yeah, like, that's one of the...
06:42For a news report, that's one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen on the news.
06:48Yeah, it was wild.
06:49And they really got up in their nose with all those larvae.
06:52Like, he said he would catch fish and just rinse off his hands in the river, and that
06:56river doesn't clean you.
06:57No, it doesn't.
06:58No, it doesn't.
07:00River water's not known for its cleaning purposes.
07:02No.
07:02But, I mean, let's be honest.
07:03He was also shoving those fingers up there.
07:06If you can handle this stuff and you want to see this for some unknown reason, go check
07:10it out at DaveAndChuckTheFreak.com, the whole news report with the graphic images that's
07:15there for you to see.
07:15I'll say this.
07:16As a person who watches really weird, gross stuff, it's worth seeing because this is up
07:23there.
07:24This is up there with some of the most disturbing stuff that I've seen.
07:28So they had to pull them out one by one, so that's how they knew there was like 150 in
07:31there, right?
07:31Oh, you saw.
07:32Did you see the Petri dish thing?
07:34Like, they had like a Tupperware container of all of them just like crawling around, all
07:39still alive.
07:41It was like hundreds.
07:42Yeah, it was over a hundred.
07:44The whole inside.
07:46God.
07:47You're probably making people puke, but the whole inside was some form of liquid.
07:51Yep.
07:51I don't know what that was.
07:53Bloody and bleeding.
07:54Yeah, and their larvae juice.
07:55Oh, God.
07:56Oh, Dave, this has been a wild ride so far.
08:00You can't do it for us today.
08:02Well, it's not something other than, what else do we have next?
08:05I don't know.
08:06We have something fun?
08:08I'm not sure what we have.
08:10We have waxing ladies and this larvae.
08:14Larva.
08:14We need some boobs or something right about that.
08:16Yeah.
08:17How about interviewing producers because I quit.
08:20Slat in it.
08:20We're just going to wrap up this.
08:21Oh, wow.
08:24Yep.
08:25Penis.
08:26Penis.
08:27Penis.
08:28Penis.
08:29Bye.
08:29Penis.
08:30Penis.
08:30Penis.
08:30Penis.
08:30Penis.
08:30Penis.
08:30Penis.
08:30Penis.
08:32Penis.
08:33Penis, penis, penis, penis, penis.
08:34Penis.
08:34Penis.
08:36Thank you for listening to Dave and Chuck the Freak.
08:40No, we can't leave.
08:41We're still here.
08:42We won't be back tomorrow.
08:43No.
08:43No.
08:44We're contractually obligated.
08:45Yeah.
08:46We'll be there.
08:47If you never heard the end of the show, that's it.
08:48Yeah, that's true.
08:50We'll move on, I guess.
08:51Okay.
08:52Let's move on to a hot or not.
08:53Okay.
08:54All right, Dave.
08:54Well, let's hope it is hot.
08:56Let's hope it's hot.
08:57It better be hot.
08:58I'm betting not.
08:59Oh, come on.
09:02Off to Sandusky, Ohio.
09:04It's not hot.
09:06It's not hot.
09:06Goodbye.
09:08Oh my God.
09:09Dammit.
09:10That's going to do it for Dave and Chuck the Freak.
