00:00Hey, it's Matt Knight from 100.1 WJRZ, live from the third annual Building Homes from the Heart Project here in Toms River as we work with Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity to build a home for a deserving Ocean County family here in Manchester as we're going to be giving them the dream of affordable home ownership.
00:18We're about to get started with our opening ceremony and we're getting a little early construction done now.
00:30It's really inspiring work to see everybody volunteer, give their time, weekdays, everything that leads up to this event. It's a real challenge for everybody, but to see the family get into that house is just the payoff.
00:45We have seen the impact that home ownership has on all of our partner families. We have also witnessed the impact and transformation of volunteers that work alongside our partner families. I think Jimmy Carter said it the best.
01:00He said, Habitat is not a sacrifice that we make for others. It is a blessing for those of us who volunteer to help others.
01:08And even the board members from Habitat came to help us build. The bond I formed with these people are the true meaning of Habitat for Humanity. So thank you Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity for my home.
01:20This is our 21st home. Love every minute of it. It never gets old as all of you can see. So once again, I just want to thank everyone for participating and let's get, let's get building.
