00:11Well, this is cool. Crystal reached out to us today to honor her nephew, Kobe,
00:15who is a first responder and a firefighter in Hernando County.
00:20Good morning, Crystal. So we want to know a little bit about your nephew, Kobe.
00:24So Kobe, he's in his early 20s and he's just finished fire school at the end of last year.
00:33And he's now working as a firefighter. He finally has his own house,
00:38but he kind of bounces around when they need him at different stations and stuff.
00:42So he absolutely loves what he's doing.
00:45He said his favorite part of it is running into the burning building.
00:48Wow. Well, that's good. At least he has no fear, right?
00:51Absolutely. My mom told him that. She's like, you have no fear, do you?
00:55And he's like, no, I do not.
00:57Now, did you know that this is something he wanted to do growing up?
01:01Is there a do you have is this in your family? Do you have more first responders in your family?
01:05So we actually don't. My oldest brother was in while he was a police officer up in New York and retired first grade detective.
01:14But we didn't have any other firefighters or anything. And growing up, I didn't know he wanted to do that.
01:20And so he said he was going to fire school. And I was like, wow, that's cool.
01:24I love it. I love that he found his calling for sure.
01:26All right. So what does Kobe like to do when he's not fighting fires and just kind of get a day off to hang out?
01:32What are some of his hobbies?
01:32He likes to go to the gym and work out and he does golf every once in a while.
01:40So he likes to hang out with his friends when he has time.
01:43Yeah. So he definitely is enjoying his days off because we know that they work 24 on and then 48 off.
01:49Well, you know, we really appreciate you sharing your story about Kobe.
01:54And we get to honor another firefighter here in our community over in Hernando County.
01:58So we appreciate all the men and women that are over there and especially your nephew, Kobe.
