00:41complaint striking one of the complainants three times the complainants his cousin and her husband

00:48they were sitting in this white mercedes suv when samuels opened fire family members telling us he

00:55didn't know who was in the car the confusion began earlier that day when extended family members

01:00gathered to mourn an aunt's death the couple in this white suv asked if they could follow jeffrey

01:06samuels senior to the next family member's home but as they began driving he says he became confused by

01:13the car that was following him oh my god so did you hear that so they're at a family funeral they're

01:19from out of town they're like hey do you mind if we follow you to the next house yes you know to the

01:24gathering and this old guy said sure but then as they're following him he forgets they're following

01:31him but that guy didn't look old no no no that's his son his son came to defend his dad who called

01:39him to say that people were following him not knowing that he told them to follow him oh my god

01:45home is not far away for this man yeah oh yikes and called 911 to report the suspicious vehicle

01:54then called his 23 year old son jeffrey samuels the second was at the gas station waiting with his

02:01father when the cousin's white suv pulled in he opened fire just as the driver's door opened samuels

02:09who has no previous criminal history in harris county is now charged with two counts of aggravated

02:14assault for shooting his own family after his father became confused by who was following him
