00:29the constituency of Tocosangre Grandi sprawls across the northeastern tip of Trinidad.
00:35Beautiful beaches enclose scenic pastoral landscapes and modern living,
00:39embodying both the rural and urban.
00:42The potential of Sangre Grandi, it's within nature, ecotourism.
00:47You know how long we wanted Sangre Grandi to be a borough?
00:49Tocosangre Grandi's evolution from a forested area to a vibrant community
00:53underscores its resilience and adaptability.
00:56Yet some people still need basic amenities.
01:00We need a fire station and a TNT depot because TNT has to respond from a rima to come up to the Tocosangre area.

01:14Eighteen years ago, under the PNM reign,
01:16the colossal seat of Sangre Grandi was divided into two separate constituencies,
01:21Tocosangre Grandi and Camuto Manzanella.
01:23The individual size of each still topping in the largest of the 41.
01:30While the UNC dominates the latter, the form is considered a marginal seat,
01:35swinging from the PNM in 2007 to the UNC in 2010 and back to the Red Team in 2015.
01:42The Sangre Grandi market located in the town borders both areas
01:48and is controlled by the UNC-led regional corporation.
01:52But the lines between local and central government remain blurry
01:55and in a general election, one pays the price for the other.
01:59Well, the councillors and them not doing anything to upgrade the market.

02:34Resident and son of the soil Roger Munro kept the seat for the PNM in 2020
02:39with over 3,300 more votes than the UNC.
02:43Well, the representative that we have,
02:46I don't see him doing much for Toco at all.
02:48But Munro is trying his luck again in 2025
02:52against the yellow team's wean stooge.
02:56The NTA and Patriotic Front have also entered the free,
03:00hoping to secure a share of the possible 30,000 votes up for grabs.
03:04It's a tough fight ahead, and Toco's angry grandi candidates
03:07are going to have to earn this seat by winning the trust of the electorate.
