00:00hey everyone so today we're just gonna go over very quickly uh and show you a quick demonstration

00:09of how to import leads into the system uh the spreadsheet that you see right now on screen

00:18is sort of a template that we have created for you and this will be your first step in terms of

00:25where you have to start for that import process to work so we shared this sheet uh with everyone

00:32on the team and uh just make sure you make a copy of the original one before you get started and you

00:38can work off of that the sheet itself is pretty self-explanatory you'll see the required fields

00:47marked with an asterisk and there's also some additional information that we need such as the

00:53rep id that you'll have to fill in for the import process to work it's actually pretty simple so

01:02most of these are selectable options from you so you select a market and the company first last name

01:09select the source add in an email or a phone number we need either of these for the import to be

01:16successful select the industry status and as soon as you select a rep name it will automatically

01:23populate the salesforce id for you so you just have to select the rep name from this list of options

01:29and that's all that you have to do so once you have entered in all of your information we actually

01:37need to download this as a csv so just go to file download and just make sure that you are downloading

01:45it as a csv format sheet once you do that uh you'll have a excel sheet that looks uh similar to this

01:55i've already downloaded before just to show you how it works so once you have this downloaded you are

02:01set in terms of what you need to do and now you can go back into salesforce for you to initiate this

02:08load process so now i'm in my salesforce and within my leads tab on the top right of the screen you'll

02:17see an import button so i'll click on that

02:23here i'm brought to sort of a wizard type of screen and it's sort of guiding us through this lead import

02:30process on the first stage we have to select leads we're going to be adding new records and on these

02:38list of options just make sure to select name and that is all that you have to do so we're only going

02:46to match the lead by name and all of these other settings can remain as they are then we click on csv

02:54and choose the file that you have downloaded as that csv i'll choose this file is selected and i'll click next

03:07you'll then be brought to this screen where you have to map the table headers onto what salesforce

03:15feels they should correspond to most of these will already be mapped automatically however the one manual

03:22mapping that needs to be done is the last field which is the sales rep salesforce id so just click on

03:29map to the left of this and look up lead owner once we've selected lead owner just hit map hit next and

03:41we're all set to go start import this will show you a pop-up and when you hit ok it will guide you to a

03:50screen which lets you monitor the status of that import that's uh going on so just keep in mind uh

03:58since this is processed in batches it might take a little bit of time for the import to go through

04:04so you might need to refresh the page a couple of times or reload but once it has you can monitor the

04:11status it will say complete and it will also show you how many records were processed how many records

04:17failed uh just as a prompt for you to understand if what you did in fact want to import has gone into

04:24salesforce and that's pretty much it uh once you're in salesforce you should then be able to

04:31salesforce and that's pretty much to uh see the leads that you have imported and go from there thank you
