A community in Boston is coming together to fight against a corporate coffee company that wants to set up shop in town and the show heard from a couple guys on the front lines.

00:00i guess there is a real italian neighborhood right there in the north end and um there is a dude

00:11who wants to stop starbucks from moving into their italian neighborhood don't let it in so he's

00:18starting a campaign to make sure they can't get in there we don't need these people but he is the

00:23most italian guy you'll ever hear from here's the story on what's happening from boston 25 news take

00:28a listen in to say business owners here in the north end are opposed is an understatement long

00:34time locals hitting the pavement handing out these flyers ahead of what's expected to be a heated

00:38meeting with city officials and their efforts to stop a starbucks from setting up shop here at the

00:43entrance to hanover street you're not a part of the north end starbucks you never will be part of the

00:48north end if a warm welcome was what starbucks was expecting from boston's north end the coffee

00:54giant has another thing coming we've established the neighborhood for a hundred years they're

00:59willing to screw every business and every neighbor the development's promise to build an italian

01:05heritage monument doesn't seem to be garnering any love you want to come down here you want to make

01:12us poor stupid italians happy because you're going to give us a monument i know my first stop will be

01:18when i go to boston oh yeah mike's pastry place yeah with a big line of all the whole area yeah i

01:24just love that he's like you bring your milk with the two coffee beans here we gotta ask the problem
