01:13the UAE and Italia is strong and dynamic, built on shared interests and underbinded by the vision
01:24of and commitment of our leadership, Prime Minister Giorgio Meloni and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed.
01:32Over the years, both countries have developed robust partnerships spanning trade, investment, culture,
01:43people-to-people ties and innovation. We had many visits over the last years, the last one which
01:51is the state visit by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, the President of the UAE, last February.
01:59And it has been a symbol of strength of the UAE-Italy relation. We signed over 40 MOUs and agreements.
02:09Hundreds of Italian and Emirati companies came together in the business forum on the sideline of the state visit.
02:19His Highness announced 40 MOUs of investment in Italy.
02:26Our bilateral trade continues to grow and we have witnessed significant cooperation in energy, infrastructure,
02:35advanced technology, all of which reinforce our shared commitment to progress, mutual prosperity.
02:45We, you see, Claudio, that UAE-Italy relations have witnessed significant growth across a wide range of sectors,
02:54with non-oil trade between the UAE and Italy steadily increasing, which demonstrates the strong commercial ties
03:08to sustain jobs, drive innovation, and fuel economic growth.
03:15This exchange underscores how deeply our economies are connected with Italian expertise in manufacturing,
03:25and design, and high-tech industries complementing the UAE position as a global hub for trade and investment.
03:39In recent years, the energy sector has emerged as a pivotal area of collaboration between the UAE and Italy,
03:48and notably in renewable energy, where both countries are working toward a more sustainable future.
03:56The UAE has conscientiously viewed climate action as an opportunity to deliver practical innovative solutions
04:06to a global challenge that impacts every country in a different way.
04:11In this regard, the UAE, by hosting the 28th session of COP28 in 2023, achieved exceptional success.
04:23culminating into the historic UAE consensus, an agreement by 198 parties to usher in a new era of climate change.

06:54So, in this regard, the UAE, early 2024, we launched the Mohammed bin Zayed water initiative,

07:13and sustainable, more transformative initiatives for water securities.
07:20With regard to the part about the Matei plan, we consider it a strong and comprehensive platform
07:28that allows the UAE and Italy to explore mutual areas of cooperation
07:33and invest in the development of the local economies and communities,
07:39working together with local partners for the sake of the region as a whole.
07:45In this regard, we are working in tandem to create opportunities that empower African communities,
07:52while ensuring sustainable development.
07:55Additionally, the UAE and Italy have been at the forefront of the Rome process.
08:01As you know, Claudio, that it's a multilateral framework dedicated to sustainable development, security,
08:11and economic growth across Africa.
08:14The initiative underscores the commitment to fostering long-term economic cooperation
