Police launch probe after 'skeletal remains' found in woodland near marina

Police have launched an investigation after skeletal remains were discovered by a member of the public in a field near a marina and country pub.

The discovery was made on Worlds End Road, in Greensforge, near Kingswinford, West Midlands, at around 3:25pm on April 16, 2025.

Staffordshire Police have not yet identified the remains and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

The police have cordoned off the field near the Navigation Pub and Ashwood Marina while conducting early-stage inquiries.

A spokesperson stated: "Anyone with relevant information is urged to contact officers via 101, Live Chat, or Crimestoppers anonymously."
