Andhra man strangles 9-month pregnant wife days before delivery

A woman just days away from delivering her baby was allegedly murdered by her husband in Visakhapatnam.

00:10Andhra Pradesh, was nine months pregnant. She and her husband Gyaneshwar went for a

00:14prenatal check-up on 13th April 2025. Doctors advised immediate admission, but the couple

00:19decided to return the next day. But that night, tragedy struck. Gyaneshwar called friends and

00:25relatives, claiming Anusha was unwell. She was rushed to the hospital, but was declared dead

00:29on arrival. As suspicions grew, police launched an investigation. The autopsy confirmed Anusha

00:34had been strangled. Soon after, Gyaneshwar, who ran a fast food stall, confessed. He alleged that his

00:40wife often accused him of having an affair and he couldn't take it anymore. The couple Anusha and

00:44Gyaneshwar were married two years ago. A fight reportedly broke out between them due to marital

00:49disputes, during which Gyaneshwar strangled Anusha. Anusha's family is devastated. Her sister revealed

00:55that Gyaneshwar had once lied about having cancer, asking Anusha to leave him, but she

01:00chose to stay. Gyaneshwar was taken to police custody and further investigations are now underway.
