00:1240-year-old Mohamed Sukri Daud on Friday. The accused was charged with abducting 18-year-old

00:18Noorin Wardina Hari from a playground with the intent of wrongfully and secretly confining her.

00:24The offense was committed at around 3 p.m. on April 5th at a playground in Bukit Rambai,

00:29Idaman. The charge, framed under Section 365 of the Penal Code, carries a jail sentence of up to

00:36seven years and a fine if convicted. The accused lawyer sought a lighter sentence, citing his

00:43client's role as a burger seller and father of three. However, the prosecution called for a

00:48proportionate sentence, stressing the seriousness of the crime and the victim's disability.
