00:08Kero after pleading guilty to sexually abusing her son. Judge Raja Noor Adila Raja Mahyaldin
00:15imposed the sentence after the accused entered her guilty plea on Tuesday. The offence was
00:21committed at a house in Taman Peruna, Sungai Udang, in the Melaka Tiringa district at
00:27approximately 10.30 p.m. in late December 2024. She was charged under Section 14 Subsection A of the
00:35Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, read together with Section 16 Subsection 1 of the same
00:42Act. Deputy Public Prosecutor Noor Aznini Kamarudin appeared for the prosecution while the accused was
00:49unrepresented. In mitigation, the accused, the single mother, pleaded for leniency, saying she needed to
00:56support her three children after serving her sentence. The court ordered the prison term
01:01to commence from the date of her arrest on March 3.
