00:04President Ferdinand R. Marcus Jr. has ordered the immediate mobilization of government resources
00:09to ensure a swift response to affected communities.
00:13The palace assured the public that a whole-of-government approach is being implemented to address the calamity.
00:19Several government agencies have been placed on high alert to coordinate efforts
00:23and deliver necessary assistance to affected residents.
00:26The Department of Social Welfare and Development, or DSWD, is closely monitoring the situation
00:32and has begun pre-positioning family food packs in areas impacted by the volcanic activity.
00:38In the meantime, the Department of Health, or DOH, has issued health advisories to residents near the volcano
00:43and urged the public to wear protective masks and clothing to guard against harmful volcanic ash.
00:50The DOH also encouraged residents to coordinate with local health units for emergency concerns.
00:55In Calaon City, the local government has issued a directive,
00:59prohibiting entry within the 6-kilometer permanent danger zone surrounding the volcano.
01:04This precaution comes as Mount Calaon remains under Alert Level 3.
01:09The palace also emphasized that the national government is prepared to release additional funds
01:14to support local government units should the need arise.
