00:00Updates on Kaloan residents near Kaloan Volcano in Negros Island are advised to stay alert

00:05after three ash emissions on Sunday, January 19 was observed.

00:10The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, or PHEVOX, reported that the emissions

00:14lasted up to 23 minutes and that the volcano released over 4,400 tons of sulfur dioxide.

00:22Kaloan also emitted a moderate plume and recorded 13 volcanic earthquakes.

00:27As a result, the volcano remains under alert level three, signaling intensified magmatic

00:32unrest.

00:33PHEVOX warns of potential hazards including eruptions, lava flows, ashfall and lahars

00:38and reminds the public of the ban on flying aircraft near the volcano.
