Trump singles out Australian beef in tariff speech

US President Donald Trump said Australia doesn’t import American beef because “they don’t want it to affect their farmers”.

00:27want to send you everything, but we're not going to take anything that you have. Australia

00:31bands and they're wonderful people and wonderful everything, but they ban American beef. Yet

00:38we imported $3 billion of Australian beef from them just last year alone. They won't

00:44take any of our beef. They don't want it because they don't want it to affect their farmers.

00:48And you know what? I don't blame him, but we're doing the same thing right now, starting

00:53about midnight tonight, I would say.
