A growing controversy is putting American farmers and ranchers under the spotlight as concerns rise over foreign beef entering the U.S. market at prices that could undercut domestic producers. Critics warn that cheaper imported beef could place even more pressure on American cattle ranchers, while raising a critical question: Where is the beef actually coming from? As the debate intensifies, attention is turning to Trump’s trade policies, foreign beef imports, and whether American farmers are being left behind.

00:00Hey, good morning, guys. Sean here. I'm not sure about the rest of you, but as a cattle farmer,
00:07cattle producer, or cattle rancher, whatever title you want to give us, I can't believe that
00:13President Trump and Secretary Rawlings just kicked us in the teeth yesterday by saying that they're
00:19going to import foreign beef here into the United States. This plan that he's actually talking about,
00:26you can go and look for yourself. The Cattleman Association at the national level,
00:31every state is coming out totally against it, and it's 100% because it's not going to have any real
00:38effect on prices of beef in the grocery store. The reality of it is the Packers control everything.
00:46Until we address the four Packers and how they control everything, we're doing absolutely nothing.
00:51Mr. President, your decision is going to run ranchers like myself and others. We don't
00:57make any difference. We're big or small. You're going to run us out of business, and we will never,
01:02ever be able to rebuild the herd. Right now, as everyone knows, the herd is the smallest it's ever
01:08been. But with this action for the next 90 days, what it's doing is pushing down the price of beef
01:16that we sell to the sale barn that ultimately goes to your table. This action that the president is
01:23doing is not doing anything to help the American people. He thinks it is. I wish he would listen
01:30to the Cattleman Association and others that understand agriculture because the reality of it
01:35is right now, what this is happening to us is straight up bullshit. There's no other way to do it.
01:41So I just want to clearly put out there. I'm totally against it. I'm going to fight every
01:46day for our farmers, fight every day for our ranchers, because somebody got to get to DC that
01:52understand agriculture and going to stand with agriculture. Because right now, if we continue
01:57on this path, we're going to run agriculture and run Cattleman completely out of business.
02:03Guys, thank you for all your support. Look forward to talking to you out there on the trail.
02:08But this, I couldn't even sleep last night. I'm just out here this morning checking on
02:13the cows. But I couldn't believe that the president would actually do this. So with that,
02:19I'll see you. I got it off my chest. I look forward to seeing you somewhere the day and
02:24tomorrow and the future days out. But for the next 90 days, I think it's going to make it is
02:29going to run some of our cattle producers out of business.
02:32Trump announced earlier that he's going to allow the importation of 300,000 tons of foreign
02:42beef.
02:43Country of origin, still unknown. We don't know. But I can assume it's probably Argentina,
02:50the country with the most Zionist president ever, as he has self-proclaimed.
02:55Guys, this is a slap in the face to all of our own ranchers and farmers. You know, Thomas
03:00Massey just had a bill that would have allowed the farmers and ranchers to sell directly to
03:05the consumer and the communities that they produce this food and just cut out the middlemen
03:10entirely. That there would bring down prices and make accessibility to good, high-quality beef
03:16much easier. I mean, going for foreign beef, I mean, we don't even know exactly where it's coming
03:22from. What kind of regulations? I mean, what kind of standards are they held to? I mean,
03:26we have some of the best beef in the world growing right here in America, but they make
03:30it so goddamn hard for the consumer to get to these mom-and-pop ranches, these legacy
03:37ranches who've been doing it for generations. And all we're really left with is to go with
03:43the big corporate farms, right? There's like three or four of them who own basically almost
03:48all the slaughterhouses. So all the meat in the supermarket comes from just a few select
03:53people. And it's usually full of hormones and all kinds of shit. Not healthy. So I don't
04:01know what you're thinking, Mr. President, but you just pissed a lot of people off. A lot
04:05of our ranchers and farmers, I don't think you'll find any of them that would agree with
04:10what you just did. Seems to benefit a certain select group of people. But we're not even going
04:16to go there, right? So yeah. What the hell, Trump?
04:21Chris Gibbs here in Ohio, where we've got the trifecta of stupid. But first, I want you
04:26to meet my cows. They're pasture fed, making the best use possible of non-cropland with
04:31no chemical applications. And they're working hard every day to do everything right to feed
04:37you, a nation, and beyond. And what do we get for it here in Ohio? We get Vivek Ramaswamy,
04:43who believes my livelihood is immoral, because he believes these animals were put on the
04:49earth to be worshipped and not used to sustain us. And by the way, they make terrible house
04:54pets. And beyond that, we've got John Euston, who never saw a retaliatory reciprocal tariff
04:59he didn't like. And now, their daddy Trump is going to import beef from other countries
05:04like Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, and Uruguay to make sure I'm not making too much money.
05:11Somebody help me make sense of it.
