Unite, the UK’s leading union, is continuing its Unite Energy 4 All campaign to demand that nobody should choose between heating or eating.

00:00We're here today for Unite Community. It's a union that organises for people that are

00:06unemployed and ex-union members in the community. We've got 40 branches out in the country,

00:13up and down the country, saying we want Unite for Energy for All, bring energy into public

00:20ownership. There are 7,000 people that are actually dying from cold. There shouldn't

00:26be a choice between heating and eating. The prices need to be addressed and energy needs

00:34to be taken back into public ownership because we shouldn't have these on a day of the 1st

00:39of April when people are really struggling. They're calling it Awful April. Energy bills

00:45are going up and up and up and wages aren't matching it. We're here to say enough is enough.

00:50We demand change. We want it now. Stop impoverishing the poor. Stop hitting the vulnerable in our

00:57community.
