00:00to Team Canada because they, of course, have quarterfinal, you know, expectations as well,
00:04but I know that one of their players, Alfonso Davies, was injured in this game. So, Kyle,
00:09is he an integral piece of Team Canada? And if so, what does this mean for recovery time?
00:15Will he be back for the World Cup next summer? Yeah, Alfonso Davies has suffered a torn ACL
00:22in the early stages of that game against the U.S. It's a hammer blow to Canada because he's one of
00:27the two players who are really the centerpiece of this, like, golden generation of talent
00:32for Canada. Still very young, but he is, you know, the second best, if not best, player on the team,
00:38along with Jonathan David up front, and it's a really, really big blow. He should be back for
00:44the World Cup, but then now the question becomes how ready will he be, right? Because if it takes
00:51eight to ten months for him to come back from an ACL injury, how long does it then take him to get
00:56back into the swing of things? Soccer players recover from ACL injuries quicker than other
01:04sports. For whatever reason, the timeline in soccer is more like six to ten months rather than
01:08the traditional year that you think of with other sports, but they also take time to get back into
01:16their rhythm, back into running again, kicking a ball again, being at full strength, full speed,
01:22trusting your knee. So, you know, it could, there could be questions about will he be himself,
01:29but being a Bayern Munich player, he'll be out for the rest of the season for Bayern as they try to
01:34win the Champions League, and he'll definitely miss the Club World Cup this summer as well.
