00:00Meanwhile, the installation of the U.S.-made Taifun missile launcher was such a big deal,

00:05it had China up in arms and whining repeatedly to the Philippine government to take it down

00:11to no avail.

00:12So what possibly could top the SM-6 missile erector and launcher endowment that costs

00:17close to four and a half million dollars each?

00:25Command to supply the country with one more.

00:31The Armed Forces of the Philippines welcomes the report that the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command

00:36may possibly deploy another Taifun missile system in the Philippines.

00:41The AFP has not yet confirmed this.

00:43If it happens, this will be the second Taifun missile system in the country.

00:48This is a welcome development for the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

00:53We can say that the more, the merrier.

00:55So the more assets that we have, the more also that we are able to train more personnel

01:00on our part.

01:01So we are accepting this willingly.

01:04The first Taifun missile system arrived in the country last year and was used in various

01:10exercises.

01:11China had previously opposed this, even appealing for its removal.

01:16But for the AFP, this is an opportunity to further enhance its capabilities, especially

01:22since this is among the assets the Philippines plans to acquire.

01:26The defense posture of the Republic of the Philippines is not designed against any other

01:31country.

01:32It is an action of a sovereign state.

01:34In the region, we have been abiding by the rules-based international order.

01:38Other countries, especially the Chinese Communist Party, has not been abiding by international

01:45law.

01:46They have been disrupting the region.

01:47Coincidentally, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegzit will be visiting the Philippines for

01:52the first time this week.

01:53This visit reaffirms what our allies have been saying for a long time, that their commitment

02:03is ironclad.

02:04Meanwhile, on the issue of the West Philippine Sea, the AFP supports Defense Secretary Gibut

02:10Yudoro's statement calling China's 10-dash line across the entire South China Sea fictitious.

02:18The AFP also had this to say.

02:20It is a joke designed merely for entertainment purposes.

02:25It is absurd, no legal basis, it is beyond normal imagination.
