REACTIONS FROM TT LEGIONS PLAYERS

Red Force skipper Joshua Da Silva is delighted to be a part of the T&T Legions for the CWI Breakout League next month.   Da Silva is among the latest names in the T&T Legions squad, with Johann Layne of Barbados and McKenny Clarke of St. Lucia also in the mix.   Vinod Narwani and cameraman Brandon Benoit got some reactions at the National Cricket Centre on Thursday.

00:00The squads have been finalised for all six teams taking part in the CWI

00:04breakout tournament in April. The seven protected players per team were

00:08mentioned a couple days ago and the other seven players per team have also

00:12been announced. On the TNT Legion side these are the latest picks. Joshua De

00:17Silva, McKenny Clark, Cephas Cooper, Damien Joachim, Sharon Lewis, Abdul Rahim

00:23Toppin and Johan Lane. Some of the Legion's players were seen training at

00:28the National Cricket Centre including the Red Force captain who's looking

00:32forward to the new tournament. Really excited it's another opportunity to play

00:35the sport that I love. It's a T20 format which I haven't had a lot of

00:39opportunity to play. I've played I think 22 CPL games out of my five years but

00:43yeah it's it's just an opportunity to play the game and do what I want and

00:47showcase my talent. Hopefully I can use that and it helps me get a better pick

00:52in CPL. I can go to other leagues and whatnot but yeah it's just another

00:55opportunity as I'm looking at it. Also delighted to make the cut is all-rounder

00:58Mikkel Govaya who is just 23 years of age. He was also a member of the winning

01:03St. Lucia Kings team in the 2024 CPL. I'm pretty excited and elated for the

01:09tournament because it's a very good opportunity. In terms of performance I

01:16don't want to think too far ahead take it game by game. Just execution making

01:21sure that I train as hard as possible leading up to the tournament so that

01:24when time comes that I can execute to the best of my ability. But in terms of

01:29the opportunity I'm really excited for the opportunity especially having CPL a

01:33couple months after. Navin Bidasi has had a taste of list 8 cricket after making

01:37four appearances with combined campuses and colleges. And what does representing

01:42the TNT legions mean to him? Definitely it's a great feeling. It's a blessing so

01:46thank God for that first of all. It's a great feeling for also my parents who

01:50helped give me that foundation to come out here and do what I have to do. It's a great feeling you know

01:55bowling like this hopefully I can you know get crucial wickets and also
