00:00Sad news for fans of the series The Sex Lives of College Girls,
00:03the show has been canceled after three seasons at max.
00:07But never fear, production company Warner Bros. Television is exploring finding a new home for
00:13the show. The coming-of-age comedy dropped the finale of its most recent season in January.
00:19I don't know if you guys noticed, but I've been feeling kind of overwhelmed lately.
00:23What?
00:24Did you just take an espresso bean like a pill?
00:26It's a life hack.
00:27Season three saw the departure of original cast member Renee Rapp,
00:30who left two episodes into the latest run. The series ran a mostly cliffhanger-free
00:35season three finale, leading some viewers to wonder if this was the end of the show,
00:39even though it has been pretty consistently near the top 10 of Max's Top 10 list of most-viewed
00:44shows, though that didn't translate to making Nielsen's wider Top 10 streaming charts.
00:48Co-showrunner Justin Noble, who oversaw the show with Mindy Kaling,
00:52insisted at the time that the episode wasn't meant to wrap up the series. He said,
00:56No one told us to, like, wrap up the show or anything like that.
01:00I think just me as a creator, I'm losing interest in cliffhangers."
01:03He added that while the final scene wasn't a cliffhanger, there are certainly character
01:07storylines that are unresolved. Whether those storylines will get resolved remains to be seen.
01:11Sources tell THR Warner Bros. Television will try to find another outlet for the show.
01:16Max and Warner Bros. declined to comment.
