‘Working class won’t be able to drive!’: Will Londoners get Electric vehicles?

00:00Well, no, I don't actually because it's like the electric cars, where's the

00:04infrastructure for it? There's no infrastructure, you can't charge it up or it's double the money.

00:10Yeah, so we've got a diesel, a normal old petrol car, like when that

00:15claps out and we need a new one, I'm sure we'll get something, you know, at the moment.

00:18I do feel slightly guilty I haven't got an electric car, but we don't use it much.

00:22But I'm sure the next car we get will have to be one. It just seems the right way to go.

00:26The likes of me and the likes of people working class that have got normal cars,

00:32yeah, won't be able to drive anywhere, won't be able to do that, won't be able to afford the electric cars.

00:38I think it's reasonable, like I get it's paying for and it's expensive and no one wants to pay more than they have to.

00:42But we have to do something, like the current sort of trend in sort of almost global politics

00:46is to be sort of dialled down some of the green stuff and that can't be a good thing.

00:50So like I get why people don't want to do it, but we should.

00:53Yes, electric's fine, but you can't travel.
