00:00It's that time of year again where fashion and racing come together in a spectacular display of glamour and excitement.

00:08Ladies' Day at Aintree is more than just a race. It's a global celebration of style, competition and tradition.

00:15I'm here at Felicity Hat Hire on Queen's Drive to hear all about the race day trends for 2025.

00:23This year, without a doubt, it's black and white. Everyone's gone for the monochrome black and white look.

00:29And I can see why. It's classic. It's easy to match. It's a very classy races look.

00:37This year, British fashion icon River Island is back as the official style partner of Ladies' Day,

00:44with prizes on offer for both the best dressed and most sustainably dressed.

00:49The silhouettes they're coming out with, like the wide brims. Yeah, you can't go wrong with that.

00:55But also, Aintree, the bigger the better. Everyone likes a big hat. Everyone pushes out the comfort zone.

01:01Because if you can't do it at Aintree, then when can you do it? And we love when people come in and they say,

01:05I want the biggest hat you've got, because it's like the time to do it, especially Ladies' Day.

01:10Well, I go to lots of race courses, just an excuse to get a hat, really.

01:15And I can honestly say, hands on heart, Aintree is the most glamorous, by far.

01:21Renowned for its dazzling fashion and vibrant atmosphere,

01:24Ladies' Day has become a must-see event on the calendar, drawing visitors from across the world.

01:30Here, it's not just the champion horses and jockeys that take the spotlight.

01:34It's Liverpool's best dressed and they turn heads with their fearless, fabulous fashion.

01:40All the Liverpool girls are so glamorous. And I think everyone who goes,

01:44especially people that travel up just to visit Liverpool for the races,

01:48they embrace it and they think, yeah, I want to have big hair, big hats, just be extra.

01:54And it's fun. It's nice to celebrate Liverpool in that way.

01:58While there is no official dress code, organisers encourage race goers to come dressed to feel your best.

02:04Just remember, fancy dress is out and sports kits are a no-go.

02:08It doesn't matter whether you've spent thousands and you've got a designer outfit.

02:11It doesn't matter if you're head to toe in sheen, they all look as nice

02:15and as much effort has gone into every single outfit.

02:18And for us to be able to share that experience when they come in and be giddy and excited with them,

02:22it's just great. It's absolutely our favourite time of the year for that reason.

02:27Ladies' Day, an iconic part of the Grand National Festival,

02:31continues to offer the ultimate blend of glamour, excitement and unforgettable moments.

02:36It's not just a day to watch, it's a day to be part of the action.

02:40We see them coming in in their normal clothes and then they send us pictures at the races

02:44and they're like models, like hair and make-up done. We love it.

02:48There's me, my daughter Olivia who works here full-time and she looks after all our social media

02:54and my other daughter works part-time. We consult on everything and it's great.
