00:00The Commission on Elections, or COMELEC, is now investigating reports of alleged cash

00:05distribution during a campaign rally of the PDP Laban in Hong Kong.

00:10COMELEC Chairman George Erwin Garcia confirmed that there are circulating claims suggesting

00:16that attendees of the event were given 200 Hong Kong dollars.

00:20However, the poll body clarified that at this point, the reports remain unverified and no

00:26solid evidence has been presented.

00:28COMELEC also stressed that unless a witness comes forward with proof, the information

00:34is still considered fake news.

00:36Should credible complaints arise, the matter will be immediately investigated by COMELEC's

00:40Committee on Contrabigay.
