00:00The Commission on Elections, or COMELEC, has warned candidates to remove billboards and large tarpaulins

00:05before the campaign period begins on February 11.

00:09According to COMELEC Chairperson George Erwin Garcia,

00:12candidates should not use private property as an excuse for placing large billboards and tarpaulins.

00:18If they're paying for these, both the candidate and the property owner can be penalized.

00:22This includes billboards and campaign materials displayed on buses or public vehicles.

00:28Don't use private property on us.

00:31If you're paying for private property, it's not just private property.

00:34Therefore, it's subject to regulation.
