00:18I guess that how important it was to go out and win and the pressure that you may have felt

00:22Kind of similar to what these guys may feel later in New York this September when we have this Ryder Cup

00:29Yeah, I mean you're bringing back some good memories Walker Cup in Chicago, you know, that was a how here was that

00:35It was it was a little bit unfortunate to be honest because it poured rain for like two weeks leading up to the event. So

00:43The balls weren't even like coming out of their marks on the green

00:46It was so it was so wet, but it was still an incredible experience

00:52We had a great time. I think we stayed maybe 20 minutes outside of the city

00:56I remember Anthony Kim was on the team of me and we decided a ton John or JV Holmes

01:01I think he was John Holmes at the time

01:04And then a bunch of other guys

01:08The USGA was great great to us we had a blast

01:13But yeah, I was killer Jeff Overton, I think I think I had the win at the winning putt

01:19And he got some solid week. I got they they stuck me with Lee Williams and

01:24We battled each other all around that that joy it was hilarious

01:28Did uh, he was on the European team any any notable names? They come to mind probably man. My memory is so bad

01:35Yeah, I didn't know if there's just like this, you know, I'm probably or something like that totally whiffing on it

01:41But they're probably no there wasn't a Rory. No

01:44Maybe like this Reese Davies. Remember that guy? Yeah. Yeah, he played on the European to remember that

01:52Hardly anything else that I can recall. I don't think he ever made it over over to the big tour

01:56Not that yeah, not that I'm my my memory. He's Tennessee's there. He's Tennessee State guy

02:02That was a European pipeline at one point man. That's where Rory was signed to go, right? Was he really?

02:46Coming to college I need you to talk to him and try to get him to come to Florida. It was Jason day. So I

02:52there's this dinner and

02:54And I see these two I know there are two Australian guys and one

03:00Looks like a normal guy and then the other guy is taller

03:03it looks a little more athletic to be honest at the time and kind of looks like Will Ferrell from night at the Roxbury and

03:10It's his buddy David Luterus who's just an all-time human and I would I had you know

03:15I think I had a couple drinks and I'm like 20 20 or 21, you know

03:19Yeah, and I go this is a guy who's just toxic

03:22So I go up and I just start talking to David like he was Jason and Jason was right next to him

03:28But we think we ended up figuring it out. It's funny story
