00:06how does that get leaked the same hour

00:09they're supposed to be recognizing

00:10what Lockett did for the franchise for a decade

00:13as they let him go, but then Metcalf wants out.

00:20Yeah, Tyler Lockett, one of the all-time great guys.

00:23You might remember his dad, Kevin Lockett,

00:24who played in the 90s and early 2000s.

00:27So, yeah, so Tyler Lockett still wants to play.

00:31You know, they made this decision.

00:33He just was, he's a guy that,

00:36you saw the regression a little bit last season.

00:38The offense, by the way, before we get to Metcalf,

00:41it went through Jackson, Smith, and Jigba,

00:43the first run pick out of Ohio State

00:44from a couple of years ago.

00:45And now they've changed offensive coordinators.

00:48You know what's really interesting here?

00:50Clint Kubiak, the new offensive coordinator,

00:52made it very clear.

00:54He was super excited to work with Metcalf.

00:56His role's gonna be back to what it was

00:58about two years ago, but Scott, the last two seasons,

01:01okay, it's really three years ago when Metcalf was great.

01:04Last two seasons, his numbers have been down here,

01:06yet he wants more money.

01:07He's on the final year's deal.

01:09These guys hate to play or go into their final season

01:12when guys like Justin Jefferson's making 34 million

01:16a season, and Metcalf wants his.

01:18They're gonna have plenty of interest in Metcalf.

01:21They see Hawks if they're willing to trade him.

01:22And by the way, you wanna talk to a team

01:23that's baronet receiver right now?

01:25They trade Metcalf.

01:26All they've got is one guy, Smith and Jigba.

01:29So what do they do?

01:31The draft, and they get receivers?

01:34It is a, I am told by multiple teams,

01:37it's a weak receiver draft.

01:39You can find a starter,

01:41but you're not getting the high-end starter.

01:42That's what this draft is at one receiver.
