00:05The actor who portrayed the Dark Knight in Matt Reeves' 2022 blockbuster The Batman
00:10recently touched on the status of filming for the highly anticipated sequel
00:14while speaking with his Mickey 17 co-star Naomi Ackie for Hero magazine.
00:18He said, I hope so. I started out as young Batman,
00:21and I'm going to be old Batman by the sequel. Though the Twilight actor clarified,
00:26I'm old, but I'm healthier. I think I've actually brought my biological age down a bit.
00:30The Batman sequel has long been in development,
00:32with production expected to start in the third quarter of 2025.
00:37After the release was delayed multiple times, it's now expected to hit theaters in October of 2027.
00:43The sequel is not part of the DC Universe being built by James Gunn
00:46and his DC partner Peter Safran. According to Gunn, the delay is due to Reeves perfecting the script.
