00:00We really welcome Southern Housing's redevelopment of the forecourts. We think that the forecourts

00:07have been four blocks of flats where there have been significant problems for too long.

00:15Problems with the lifts, problems with bed bugs, so we really welcome the announcement

00:19that the forecourts are going to be redeveloped and we want to work very closely with Southern

00:23Housing as that redevelopment is taken forward.

00:27The residents were told about the redevelopment of Bevan Court on the day that there was a

00:33meeting and residents are still extremely shocked about this news. Many of the residents

00:38are elderly, many are vulnerable. For many residents they felt that this would be their

00:43forever home. Many are coming to terms with this news and they're really shocked and

00:49worried about where they're going to be moved on to. Our job is to make sure that

00:54residents' concerns are taken on board. Southern Housing has done well so far. They've

00:59had a really positive programme of consultation with residents. They've been very present

01:05and our job is to make sure that that goes forward so that residents concerned are listened

01:09to. Many residents have got flats with balconies, they love their flats and they want to make

01:15sure that their final forever home is a home that really meets their needs.
