00:20The Department of Social Welfare and Development, or DSWD, launched the first 1,000 Days, or F1KD,

00:27Life Cash Grants this morning in Quezon City. It is intended to extend support to

00:31poor PS households with pregnant women or children to 2 years old.

00:58During the launching, a commitment signing for the implementation of the F1KD was participated

01:03by the 4PS National Advisory Council, 4PS National Technical Working Group, local government units,

01:09local chief executive, development partners, and civil society organizations to signify

01:14their support for the program. More than 68,000 pregnant women and children aged 0 to 2 years old

01:19from eligible 4PS households nationwide will receive P350 monthly. Beneficiaries must comply

01:26with the conditionalities of the program including accessing prenatal services at DOH

01:31accredited health facilities, tracking pregnancy, child birthing, or delivery at a DOH accredited

01:37health facility, attending postnatal visits, participating in counseling sessions,

01:41and obtaining micronutrient supplements and immunizations.

01:56The F1KD launch was part of the DSWD's 74th anniversary celebration where there was a

02:17ceremonial payout to some 50 pregnant women and 0 to 2-year-old children beneficiaries from

02:22selected areas in Quezon City, San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan, San Mateo, and Rodriguez,

02:28Rizal. The program was under the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to provide

02:33cash grants to pregnant and lactating women to ensure they seek health services to address

02:38the health needs of their children in their first 1,000 days of life. From PTV Manila,
