Would-be armed robber is shot at killed at Macomb Co. donut shop

A Macomb County donut shop employee shot and fatally wounded a would-be robber on Thursday, according to police. WWJ's Darrylin Horne was on the scene, along Harper Ave. in Clinton Township.

00:00This is the scene here at the Golden Donut. You see yellow tape surrounding it

00:05because an armed suspect came inside of this place around 1245.

00:10Clinton Township police are here at the scene investigating. Now what they tell

00:14us is that that armed suspect flashed a gun at an employee here and another

00:21employee ended up shooting that suspect. He ran away from the scene and was

00:26found later by detectives just a short moment later actually and pronounced

00:31dead at the hospital. These are authorities on the scene gathering

00:35information but Clinton Township police do want to hear from you if you have any

00:39information about this. They say to contact them right away.
