With speeding offences on the rise, more speed cameras and stricter limits may come into force. What’s your experience of speed enforcement - do more cameras make roads safer or do they just raise revenue?

00:00It does make things safer, but by the same token it also is an easy cash-making idea.

00:08And motorists, I think, are penalised more than any others these days, unfortunately.

00:15Maybe a few more cameras might be better, because it will reduce injuries and people crashing the cars.

00:22You know, it's a deterrent really, isn't it?

00:25I travel up and down the country day in, day out.

00:29I don't believe doing 34 or 54 in a 50 zone is speeding.

00:36I've been caught that many times, I've been up to 12 points, I'm back on zero points now.

00:41I think it's just a money-making scheme.

00:44I agree with city centres being a lot for kids running around and pedestrians,

00:49but this day and age the cars are more powerful, the speeds of the cars are more powerful,

00:55the brakes are a lot better. I just think it's a money-making scheme for councils.
