00:00So beautiful, so sexy, so feminine. I love all the flowing beautiful silks. I mean, there
00:12were so many pieces. I love that the bolero is back. I could say I've always loved boleros.
00:18Really for me, this collection was about the continuation of my journey. I went from Africa
00:23in spring to Puerto Rico, and then taking the African influence again and moving it
00:27through the moors up through southern Spain, and mixed with the idea that I feel like we
00:31need a little romance. We need a little looking back to the romantic period. When everything
00:36was moving too fast, they took a moment to reflect, to talk about beauty a little.
00:40Well, lace is my home. I mean, I love lace. I always dabble in it. This time, I just went
00:45deep because if you go to Spain, you have to do lace. I took the Chantilles, and I kind
00:48of morphed them and shaped them and moved them with satins and different textures. I
00:52took this moray to me that felt like I was at one of the plazas in Spain and mixed it
00:57together and put it on top of a little 90s punk. And mixing that together in my little
01:02mind made it into something that harkens to a period, but it doesn't look like a period.
01:07You stay modern, you stay very young and fresh. Proportioned little crop jacket boleros I'm
01:11really liking right now. There are several silhouettes within the show that I think are
01:15exciting and new, you know, the longer, midi thing for day.
01:19Oh, my God. J'Nai. J'Nai Bridges is just beyond. She's like the foremost amazing opera singer
01:28right now, two-time Grammy winner, and she brings it. And she's a friend, you know, and
01:32she's good.
01:38It's sleek and chic. It's extra glossy, extra shiny. Well, he's got sort of a southern Spanish
01:46vibe going, so we went for that sort of flamenco look. We shellacked it, smoothed it, ponytailed
01:53it, braided it, and rolled it.
01:56The look today is quite dramatic. It's like a little goth, but in a very glamorous way.
02:00We're also kind of making them look quite flawless, a little bit like mannequins. So
02:04we're doing a little highlight on the body. They look a little sheeny. They need to be
02:08looking sort of perfect, but with little imperfections, like maybe they've been out all night, but
02:13their makeup still stayed on. I think once you see everything come together, you'll understand
02:17why we chose this makeup. So we really kind of pushed the eye, doing a full makeup, so
02:21an eye, a lip, blush, highlight, and it's really nice to be able to do that backstage
02:25at Fashion Week as well.
