Despite his young age, he has already been topic of many conversations after winning the popular contest “Digicell Rising Stars” in Jamaica. Romain Virgo is perhaps the best fit to continue the great traditions of the Jamaican singers Alton Ellis, Ken Boothe or John Jolt, Dennis Brown, Beres Hammond or Cocoa Tea among others who have contributed in building the history of Jamaican reggae.

His voice tone has a mixture of sweetness and power and as a songwriter he has released hits such as Caan Sleep or I Wanna Go Home. Romain is releasing his first album these days, an outstanding work simply named after him and which will for sure be one of the most interesting Jamaican records of 2010.
