00:00The U.S. Typhoon Missile System will be part of the Philippine Army's Combined Armed Training

00:05Exercise, or CATEX, which will run until March 22.

00:11Philippine Army General Roy Galido clarified that there will be no live-fire exercises,

00:17just an orientation.

00:19This training is linked to the Philippines' planned purchase of the system from the U.S.

00:24The National Security Council, or NSC, defended its continued presence in the country despite

00:30China's objections.

00:31AFP Spokesperson Colonel Francel Padilla says the training focuses on familiarizing with

00:38the system's use, while Lieutenant General Galido highlighted its integration into the

00:43country's defense plans.
