Police said a local man who was arrested in a car chase in Kluang on Feb 14 is being investigated for six offences. The 40-year-old has been remanded for seven days.

00:00Police said a local man who was arrested in a car chase in Kluang on Friday is being investigated
00:11for six offences.
00:13The 40-year-old man has been remanded for seven days to assist with police investigation.
00:19Kluang OCPD Assistant Commissioner Bahrin Mohamad Noh said the offences included possession
00:25of drugs, driving under the influence of drugs and reckless driving.
00:30He said during the incident that began at 9am, a police mobile patrol vehicle spotted
00:36a suspicious car at a junction near Jalan Haji Manan.
00:40He said the suspect ignored police instructions to stop and sped off before his car collided
00:45with a car parked near the traffic light near the Kluang Mall.
00:49He said the police chased the suspect for about five kilometres before apprehending
00:54the suspect at the traffic light junction.
00:57He said the police seized substances believed to be heroin from the suspect who was tested
01:02positive for drugs and had 15 prior criminal and drug-related records.
