00:00This is just in case, just in case, oh, that was the photo.
00:20Hey, take a picture of him.
00:22Make him take a picture of you.
00:30Since January 20th, we've seen less people participating in our programming
00:36and more people feeling afraid to leave the shelters and to come,
00:40and to leave the shelters at all, but to come up on the train and come into church
00:46because of the executive action that said that immigration enforcement could happen
00:52in all locations, including churches and schools and hospitals,
00:55when historically they had respected those spaces
00:58and people have felt an additional level of security being at school or in the hospital or at church.
01:05And what that's looked like now is that we've put additional signage out on the doors
01:09that make clear that ICE and law enforcement and DHS, however they come to the building,
01:15cannot come in without a judicial warrant, which is the law, and that hasn't changed.
01:21The repeal of the sensitive spaces memo really was just a way to make people afraid
01:27because they cannot come into our private spaces without a judicial warrant,
01:32without a warrant signed by a judge, not just a memo from ICE.
