00:00Some runners were introduced last year

00:04in the 2024 Trilogy Run Asia Awards last night in Mandaluyong City,

00:09the center of the news from Bernadette Tinoy of PTV Sports.

00:14Again, the Filipino and Pinay runners are together this year

00:18but not on the long-distance road where they gathered,

00:21but in the 2024 Trilogy Run Asia Awards held last night in Mandaluyong City

00:27led by RunRio's CEO and founder, Rio de la Cruz.

00:31The finishers were introduced from different parts of the country

00:34who joined the so-called Run Series.

00:36And yes, they deserved to be introduced

00:39because they brought their inspiration to the public

00:42to spread the healthy lifestyle.

00:44Surprisingly, a lot of runners from provinces came to get their awards.

00:50So all the finishers, or those who finished 1, 2, 3 and the national finals,

00:55they got a medal.

00:57And those who didn't attend, they can still get it.

01:00It's a big help or reason why it became successful

01:06because of our partners and also our LGU.

01:09Before, their support was small, but now it's really big.

01:15They allow us to cross the road, they provide manpower

01:20to make sure the safety of our participants.

01:23So we're very happy, very happy.

01:25One of the major awardees of the night was the Filipino champ, Maricar Camacho.

01:29Maricar was known as the fastest female overall

01:33and age group champion 35-40 category

01:36because she beat Husay in the tournament.

01:38I'm happy with my performance, especially that I didn't lose to everyone in overall.

01:43It's okay, I'm just trying to do my best.

01:48Everything my coach says, I follow.

01:52If you want to improve, follow your coach.

01:55Meanwhile, Rio also gave advice to the Filipino runners

01:59who want to try the full marathon in 2025.

02:03We have a lot of surprises and I hope to those who are planning to run their first 42K,
