We’re asking people around Cardiff for their favourite British meals. We’ve not go the best culinary reputation around the world, but you can’t beat some of these British classics.

00:13Er...roast potatoes. I think they're the best.

00:16When I went abroad, I was really missing baked beans.

00:21Really? Yeah.

00:23Baked beans, um...

00:25There would be English breakfast.

00:26It's good hearty meals. You've got to come here and properly appreciate it.

00:29You know, on a rainy day, you've got a pie in front of you,

00:32you've got a nice pie of mash.

00:33If you go somewhere else, a friend will say nothing about it,

00:36but, no, it's good stuff. It's good stuff.

00:38You've got to appreciate it for what it is.

00:40Yeah, meaty and calorific, really. Yeah, exactly.

00:42Pies, poached pie, shepherd's pie. Absolutely.

00:45Fish and chips, definitely.

00:47Um...

00:49Chicken tikka masala, that is...

00:52That is a top-tier one.

00:53I know a lot of people might not regard it as, like, a British cuisine,

00:56but it is, really.
